Cantina Rotari

History or legend, the name Rotari derives from the Longobard King Rotari who fought one of the most important battles along the valleys of this territory in his conquest of Italy and made history with his famous "Edict of Rotari", a book about the rules of winemaking.
The Talento seal guarantees that all Rotari sparkling wines are made in the classical bottle fermentation method, using the traditional Chardonnay and Pinot Noir grapes.
Talento wines undergo a second fermentation in the bottle and are aged on their lees for an extensive period of time to produce a complex, elegant wine. This is a laborious and expensive process used only for the finest sparkling wines.
L’architettura della Cantina è perfettamente integrata nell’ambiente circostante e riprende, nel suo caratteristico tetto “ad onda”, il susseguirsi dei vigneti coltivati a pergola trentina che la circondano.

Museo degli Usi e Costumi della Gente Trentina

The Museo degli usi e costumi della Gente Trentina in San Michele all'Adige is an ethnographic museum founded by the Trentino-Bohemian scholar Giuseppe Šebesta in the age-old fortified monastery called Prepositura agostiniana. It is considered one of the most important museums of folk life and crafts in Italy, and is one of the largest of its kind in the Alpine range. Its 41 exhibition rooms, distributed on 4 floors, are arranged by thematic areas, ranging from agriculture to wood, from metal to textile crafts, from livestock breeding to hunting, from religious to folkloristic traditions.

The Buonconsiglio Castle

The Buonconsiglio Castle is the largest and most important monumental complex of the Trentino Alto Adige region. It was the residence of the prince-bishops of Trento from the 13th century to the end of the 18th century, and is composed of a series of buildings of different eras, enclosed by walls and positioned slightly higher than the city. Castelvecchio is the oldest nucleus, dominated by an imposing cylindrical tower; the Magno Palazzo is the 16th century expansion in the Italian Renaissance-style as commissioned by the Prince-Bishop and Cardinal Bernardo Cles (1485-1539); the Baroque-style Giunta Albertiana dates from the end of the 17th century.At the extreme south of the complex is the Torre Aquila, within which is conserved the famous Cycle of the Months, one of the most fascinating secular pictorial cycles of the late Middle Ages.

MART - Museo d'arte moderna e contemporanea

Futurism, Pop Art, Realism and great exhibitions: Mart in Rovereto is one of the most interesting museums on the Italian scene.
The Mart of Trento and Rovereto is one of Italy's most interesting museums. The main building of the Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art of Rovereto is located on Corso Bettini, between two 18th century aristocratic mansions called Palazzi Alberti. It was designed in 1987-88, by Swiss architect Mario Botta, with the collaboration of Rovereto-based engineer Giulio Andreolli, and houses a very important art collection ranging from Futurism to Pop Art, Arte Povera and Realism.
On four storeys, the Museum covers area of 12,000 square metres, half of which is dedicated to exhibition space. The two galleries dedicated to temporary shows are on the first floor. The second floor, featuring an area of over 4,000 square metres, houses the Museum's permanent collection, from Futurism to the present day, and boasts as major highlight numerous artworks by Fortunato Depero, from the 3,000 pieces the artist bequeathed to the town of Rovereto.

Castel Thun

Castel Thun, imposing and austere, was the seat of one the most important family of Trentino.

The castle stands on a hill dominating the town of Vigo di Ton, with a panoramic view over the whole of the Non Valley. It is a complex system of fortifications, made up of towers, walls, bastions, parapets and trenches, and owes its present appearance to modifications during the 16th Century. The Porta Spagnola, a massive gate, also dating from this century, leads via a drawbridge to the first courtyard. Facing it is the imposing baronial palace.

The spacious interior consists of a series of rooms in which the fine original furnishings and the family collection of paintings have survived. The most impressive and interesting room is the 16th Century Stanza del Vescovo (Bishop’s Chamber) that is panelled throughout in wood from the Stone Pine.

The 17 April 2010 the Castle will be opened to the public.
